Silverbeet Menu

Close-Up of a Row of Rhubarb Chard Beet Leaves in August in England Photographic Print

I have so many bags of leaves in my fridge and want to buy more, have to check how they are going first I think. They come in freezer like bags in the fruit box. The silverbeet arrived all cute and young leaves. I was hopeful of some bratwurst to make the recipe in the wish list below, but my husband found some chorizo instead. I asked him to go to the shop a few miles from our other house which is not in this town to check on their meat which is always lovely. Our local shop had prosciutto which is good, I wasn't sure. It was very long.

Hi Linda!

All the best for your upcoming meals this week :)

If I had so much Silverbeet I'd be tempted to make a Silverbeet Colcannon (I use Cavalo Nero in my recipe normally)..
And maybe a cheesy, Silverbeet dip with homemade flatbreads.

Also probably a beany, minestrone with tonne's of silverbeet.

Your family must love potato salad?! :)
Silverbeet here is the size of my little finger at the moment but can't wait to have as much as you do!

this is a pic from the internet. We used to grow it, if you start them with the summer vegetables they last though winter, just have to check for snails. I still prefer the vegetables that we and my Mum grew, like pumpkins in the winter for example that kept in a cool place from growing them in summer, and beans frozen from the summer etc.
